Rechts liegt Narva. Foto ist um 1918 enstanden. Wahrscheinlich während der deutschen Besatzung. Siehe Fotoserie. Posted by Picasa

Ria Novosti:
SVETLOGORSK (Kaliningrad region), July 3 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's decision to revoke its signature on the border agreement with Estonia was right because the reference to the Tartu treaty might entail territorial claims, President Vladimir Putin told a press conference in Svetlogorsk Sunday."We did not denounce the agreement because it had not been ratified. We revoked the signature and did the right thing," Putin said.

"Even if we do not take into account political appraisals of the past, any juridical grounds for territorial claims of one country against another in the modern united Europe are absolutely inadmissible."

Russia and Estonia signed the land and sea border agreement in Moscow on May 18. However, Russia revoked its signature on June 27.
